![]() Life has hit me pretty hard the past few years. So, I’m not in even good shape right now. But, none of it brought be back to running fully. I even signed up for the 2020 Star Wars Rival Run Challenge at WDW (that got cancelled due to COVID-19). I’ve tried to re-boot my running several times over the past few years. ![]() However, I had no idea that I’d take this much time off. By the time I got to the finish line of the 2017 TCS NYC Marathon, I was ready for a break in long distance running. It was magical, awesome, and one huge weight off my shoulders. It has been more than three years since I last finished a marathon. Yet, without the preparation before, their Olympic Moment would never happen. All you get is a taste of the preparation given in an interview. When you see an athlete at the Olympic Games, you don’t see all the work that preceded that moment. There’s a lot of prep time required for these races. So, why post about a goal that is a year and a half away? Because, it’s going to take a lot to get to Dopey, The Los Angeles Marathon, and The Chicago (and/or) NYC Marathon done in a year. Usually, bloggers will chart out their goals and aspirations in December or January for the upcoming year. With my last post, I mentioned some of the dreams I have.
